Nice to meet you!

Hi, I’m Yvette Hills! For the past ten years, I’ve been immersed in gardens and landscaping, beginning with my own and expanding into helping others create spaces they love. Over time, I’ve developed a deep passion for California native plants, nurtured through classes, hands-on learning, and volunteer work at the Regional Parks Botanic Garden in Tilden Park.

My specialty is blending California natives into existing landscapes—whether that’s transforming unused corners into thriving habitats or weaving native plants into established gardens. I also work closely with clients to keep their gardens healthy, vibrant, and beautiful throughout the year.

Outside of gardening, I’m a mom to two wonderful kids who already know more native plants than most adults! When I’m not in the garden, you’ll likely find me backpacking (a new passion that lets me discover even more plants in the wild), exploring our expansive local trails, or camping with my family. And of course, I love connecting with fellow plant enthusiasts—because there’s always more to learn and share.
